Recent Happenings

Bree has always had a knack for interior decorating. She loves it so much that she would rather spend money on decorations for our house than clothes for herself (isn’t that weird for a girl?). Her idea of a Friday night date is going to D.I. (similar to Goodwill) to look for candleholders, shelving, or whatever she can find to embellish our home. I’m fine with it—we spend less than $10 and she leaves happy.

So Bree has become slightly obsessed with a website called Young House Love. The site was created by two newlyweds who began documenting all the renovations they did to their new home. They post everything on their blog, from simple "DIY" (do it yourself--Bree's new motto) projects like revamping an old piece of furniture, hence the D.I. escapades, to whole room makeovers. They even documented their DIY wedding that they had in their own backyard.

The website is actually pretty cool. I was skeptical at first, but they post some hilarious videos. The website has inspired Bree to start some of her own DIY projects... and to transform our dining room table into a workbench. We've spent the last few evenings painting picture frames and shelves, hot-gluing things together, and framing wall art.

In other news: we have thoroughly enjoyed going to the Provo Farmer's Market these past few weeks. Last Saturday was a beautiful day and a perfect day at the market.

The colors in the flowers, fruits, and vegetables were amazing.

We also came across some puppy's for sale...pure torture for Bree.

On a not-so-perfect note, we went to the first BYU (football) home game. We had good seats but we played awful...we left early.

On a brighter note, Bree wore a BYU shirt to the game. I know... big deal, right? Well it actually is. When she transferred to BYU she swore that she would never buy or wear any BYU paraphernalia. So she finally gives in just in time for our rankings to crumble.

Regardless, we had a good time--thanks to Dip n' Dots--and are truly enjoying being back into full swing in Provo.

  3. Yo, K and B. It was fun dancing with you guys at the wedding. I always thought you were a cool couple, but now that I'm part of the married club we can officially be friends (because married people are never really "friends" with single people, let's be serious). Let's do game night with the Birds...next Sunday? Let me know!!!
