The Needles are Out

Well, it's that time of year and I have officially broken out my knitting and crochet needles!

Call me grandma but I love coming home to a warm house where I can peacefully and therapeutically knit my little hands away. Give me a comfy chair, a foot rest, and a little Oprah and I'm set.

Try it!
After the initial awkward hands (when you first learn) its seriously the best therapy.

Oh! and for the record: my goal is to finish the blanket I started over a year ago by the new year. I trust that this public display of goal setting will help me get 'er done... somebody will hold me to it.

  1. I am so jealous... i wish i was more creative and talented like that! My grandma has tried to teach me how to crochet and stuff like 50 times but i never stay at it long enough to get good... o well maybe some day! Well good luck on all the projects! Keep us updated!

  2. Good luck with the blanket. Finishing projects typical of the elderly when not actually a retired person is quite an undertaking with a student schedule. I for one would require lots of boredom and/or long bus rides to knit/crochet/stitch/make anything.

  3. Okay Bree, you finish that blanket and I'll finish knitting Alex's scarf (aka Christmas present from LAST CHRISTMAS) ha ha. Also, that flower you made makes me want to learn to crochet!

  4. I love to crochet! I started a blanket last year that I hope to finish too. I have never learned how to knit and I really want to this year!
