Yes, for milk and eggs.
No, for Buy Low... who goes there?
Anyway, upon walking right up to the check out (take that Smith's) attendant, Jeremy, my husband realizes that he doesn't have his wallet (again) and all I had was a cell phone.
Kevin: (to me as I check out Jessica Simpson on the cover of Marie Claire) where's the money?
Me: what do you mean? don't you have your wallet?
Kevin: Uh, no (with a look of innocence). (to Jeremy) we actually might not have any money... (after we clearly established that we had nothing).
Jeremy: huh? (blank stare)
Kevin: (reaching into his pocket) okay, wait. I have $3.10, how much is it for the milk and eggs?
Jeremy: well let's see, I think I can make this work (reaching for his wallet) I have $2 right here, will that work?
Kevin: uh, yeah?
So with three of Kevin's dollars and two of Jeremy's we were able leave the store with a half gallon of milk, a dozen eggs, and two cups of yogurt.
To Jeremy, if you ever read this, thank-you!
To Buy Low, Jeremy is a keeper. And I think you just found yourself two new loyal customers, especially because we are a bit apprehensive about going back to Smith's after what happened on Saturday.
