Simple. Guilty. Pleasure

If you know me you know that I have obsessions.  When I find something that I like I talk it up like there's nothing better in the world.  Kevin says it's one of the things he loves about me. One of my greatest weaknesses has always been frozen yogurt.  In all of it's varieties--low cal, soft serve, fro-yo, creamy and fattening, you name it--I love it. But at any given point in my life I always have *one true, frozen yogurt love.

And I'm here to tell you that one of my small, most pathetic wishes has come true:

My all-time favorite, hometown fro-yo joint has come to Utah!  It's called Yogurtland and I am content! It is the one thing I've wished we had here--the only thing Provo was missing and its finally here!

No more trying to hide my yogurt-snob tendencies. We will surely keep them in business (maybe even single-handedly).

*Random  side note: In high school it was Golden Spoon (or GS as we called it) that was my frozen yogurt love. It was more than just a place to get soft-serve, it was our hangout. It was like our Denny's.  You know how Denny's is the place to go for late-night, post-hang-out shanenigans?  Well GS was our go-to place.  My group of friends would meet there on friday or Saturday nights (or both) after whatever it was we did that night and stay to eat our soft-serve.  We would park our cars together in the back of the parking lot and have a dance party to the Goofy Movie Song (gosh, that song has a special place in my heart) blasting from one of our cars.

  1. OMG!! well first and foremost, congrats on yogoland!! It's sad I'm congratulating you like you just had your first born, but common, it's pretty close! haha And that made me even MORE nogstalgic for home (and I'm already dying since my parentals are hours away from arriving, and I haven't seen America in 9 months!) HS Gs was the BEST. and the dance parties were def one for the books. This time of our life was so memorable! It's so funny bc we did our 'late night' seshes at GS, yet late night was like 9pm/10pm bc it closed that early! But simply the best moments. Senior year was def a simple guilty pleasure that I will treasure the rest of my life :) miss you bweebwee

  2. I'm so jealous that it came to Utah! I love that you love it so much, and I think you guys ruined us when we were visiting you last summer because now the froyo stuff in Corvallis just does NOT measure up.

  3. There is no need for you to leave Provo then if that was the only thing missing! Now you have it! :)

  4. YES! I have had frozen yogurt from near and far and Yogurtland tops them all. Now they just need one a bit closer to BYU! Speaking of BYU, I think you guys should go there for law school. All the cool kids are (aka me and Jared)!

Speaking of law school, you never finished your saga! Waiting patiently over here...
