This past Saturday was one of the best ones we've had in a while. Not because we ever have bad Saturdays, but because the weather was heavenly (can you tell we operate around the weather?). We woke up earlier than usual to the the sun beating through our window and our duvet on the floor, a rarity considering I usually have to force myself to leave the covers to endure the icebox that has been our home for the past few months.
We did our usual Saturday morning routine (Kevin: study at school; Bree: run errands) and met back at home at noon to spend the day together.
I guess what I'm about to say next comes as no surprise: No sunny Saturday is complete without a trip to our favorite burger joint. When I got home and asked Kevin about going out for lunch he said, without skipping a beat, "Yep, In N Out, lets go!" We sat on the patio and relished in the sun discussing moving options--our newest worn out topic.

Side tangent: We can't decide if we should just sell everything we own and buy new stuff in DC or if we should pay the big bucks to have a moving company haul all of our junk across the country. Any opinions?
We know we have a lot of junk that needs to get the boot, so we spent the rest of the afternoon sorting through our garage. Most of the time was spent reading through old high school journals or arguing about what we do and don't want to keep. Kevin was unusually willing to send things to the "garage sale" pile, which was weird because he is typically a hoarder. Speaking of hoarding, it's kind of ridiculous how much stuff we have accumulated over the past few years. Needless to say, we only go through half of the garage.
And for the icing on our Saturday, we headed down to Spanish Fork canyon with Kevin's sibs for a little night hike to explore the hot springs. Except for the never-ending two hour hike to and from the springs, it was a blast!

You guys are adorable. I love your turquoise nail polish.
ReplyDeleteI say... buy new stuff! Go to IKEA and check craigslist and you will probably spend as much to furnish your apt. in D.C. as you would to have your stuff shipped. Unless you're in love with your furniture (and if you're like us, it's all hand-me-downs from relatives), I'd say avoid the hassle of trucking it.
