Thinking of Home

Before yesterday most people around the country had never heard of our beloved Seal Beach.  But today, the tragedy that rocked Seal Beach resonates everywhere.  My most sincere thoughts and prayers are with those who are grieving the loss of loved ones.  If nothing else, I will more readily cherish the people in my life.  

Sessions' Nuptials

This past weekend we were back in California for the third time in six weeks!  This time for Krista (Kevin's sister) and Tallon's wedding.  Tallon has quickly become apart of the family because of his incredible ability to make you feel comfortable in a I-feel-like-I've-known-you-forever kind of way. That said, it was such a treat to meet and spend a lot of time with his family.  Gwen and Ali if you're reading this, we love you and your peeps!

Southern California Never Gets Old

We're back from another long weekend spent at home.  Our many trips home this summer have solidified our love for where we grew up-- we want to move back someday.   The weather is perfect. 'Nough said. 

Our Rendezvous with the California Sun

This year Easter weekend was conveniently between semesters so we jumped at the chance to relax at home/spend time with family before Kevin was back to the grind (aka. spring classes).

There isn't anything I love more than getting away and going home for a few days.  I'm biased when I say this but California really is the best place to call home, especially when erratic Provo winters linger until May. 

Highlights from the Weekend include:

Easter egg hunt/auction for Easter basket goodies:

This year Char (Kevin's mom) did something a little different...since the family is increasing in number and everyone was home (with their fiances) this easter, she did the traditional easter egg hunt, but instead of filling them with jelly bellies and other small candy, she filled them with coins.  After the hunt we counted our coins and bid in an auction for would-be easter basket goodies.  It was super fun and a good alternative to making everyone individual Easter baskets.
