762 miles in two days

As if we haven't been all over the place this summer, we headed down to Las Vegas last weekend to meet up with my parents. They were kind enough to meet us there (the halfway point between Provo and Seal Beach) to hand off a few pieces of furniture for us to take with us to DC.

Las Vegas has never been a choice destination for me because, lets be honest, I'm a stone-cold sober sista, with no desire to gamble.  Howeverrrr, I do love to be an eyewitness at any good party scene (go figure), so you can imagine my contentment as we walked up and down Las Vegas Blvd.

2. People say I look like my mom, is it true?
3/4: Mom found this awesome Tapas restaurant where we indulged in some pretty bomb appetizers.
5. The long line and $10 price tag for frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity was enough to deter us. Is it really that good? We just sat outside instead.
6/7: Sunday morning brunch at the hotel was stellar!
8. 10 hrs. in the car was a breeze thanks to this AWESOME (i repeat, AWESOME) audio book.
9. Have I mentioned how much I despise the drive through Southern Utah?

1 Week in CO, 28 photos to prove it.

On Monday morning we woke up to 6in. of snow! Luckily the snow melted right up and the weather was perfect for the rest of the trip.

The pictures speak for themselves...we had a fabulous time in Breckenridge!  Come August we are all going our separate ways, so I guess you could say this was our last hurrah in trip form.  The good news is that three out of the four of us couples will be East Coastas for the next couple of years while in grad school so there will most definitely be more big-time reunions (BTR's) to come.

Checking In...

We're home from a week spent in Colorado with our best friends.  We have several memories to document and even more pictures to share.  But first we've got to catch up on life episodes of The Bachelorette and So You Think You Can Dance, emails, laundry, homework, etc.

Snapshots: St. George

Happy Memorial Day!

We headed down to St. George for the long weekend with our friends Scott and Heather to soak up the sun and cash in on some much needed R&R.  We did a little bit of everything from mountain biking to site seeing the best of St. George's LDS culture to loafing at the pool.  I do love a good people watching opportunity through my sunglasses--a day at a public pool never ceases to offer that.  And lets get real, there's nothing like a fresh sunburn to kick off the summer right. Crossing my fingers the sun is out for good this time.
