Vegas Vacation

Last weekend on our way back to Utah from California we made a two-day stop in good ol' Las Vegas... We actually didn't intend to be there for two days buttttt due to a little mix-up we stayed another night.

We got there in the late afternoon on Friday just in time to check into our hotel, freshen up, and get a bite to eat before we could finally celebrate our anniversary at the Mandalay Theatre; home of the broadway play: Lion King. We had been planning on seeing it for a few months and were really excited; howevvvver, on the way to the Mandalay Bay hotel we looked at our tickets and realized that the show time wasn't until Saturday night (the next day).

At first we thought that we would just forego the whole play, pack-up and head for Provo on Saturday morning... Kevin even put the tickets up for sale on craigslist and everything. It wasn't until our parents called to talk us out of it that we considered staying. So late that night, after entertaining ourselves in our hotel room with at-home yoga videos, and left over Olive Garden breadsticks, we decided to stick it out-- another day in Sin City it was. And we sure did make the best of it.

Let's face it... at that point, we didn't exactly have Vegas breakfast buffet money, so on saturday morning we settled for a traditional breakfast at Denny's on the strip.

Next stop: the pool! also known as a meat market, but a great place for people watching nonetheless. We endured the 110 degrees of dry heat for as long we could go without water.

For a late afternoon snake we ate at, our favorite, WING STOP! It was perfect.

Oh yes, and we did opt for a little photo shoot too.

Kevin was in heaven.

Up Next: the M&M factory, literally a store dedicated to M&M parphernalia.

Aaaaand Finally... the moment we had been waiting for:

The show was fantastic, we loved every minute of it and are so glad that we stayed. Las Vegas wasn't so bad after all, I mean we didn't do the typical marriage, tattoo, or alchy things but we had a good time.
